Rule 63
Removal or dismissal from service
(1) In any of the following cases, the officer ordering the punishment may remove the police employee from service so that he is not disqualified for future government service:-
(a) If he neglects to fulfill his official duties,
(b) In case of violation of the conduct related matters,
(c) In case of consumption of alcohol during office hours,
(d) In case of equally undisciplined work,
(e) If participating in politics,
(f) If he is absent from his office for forty-five consecutive days without sanctioning leave,
(g) if convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for any criminal offense other than moral turpitude,
(h) If he does not serve for the period as per sub-rule (8) of rule 35 after returning after completion of study leave,
(2) In any of the following cases, the officer who orders the punishment of the police officer may dismiss him from the service in order to disqualify him for future government service:-
(a) If convicted of a criminal charge of moral turpitude,
(b) If proven to have committed corruption.
